AI Scaling Explainer: Building a Funnel Video That Converts

Video 1 is the “what is AI scaling?” explainer. Dom frames it as a new, performance-based operator role: you come in, find the bottlenecks, build systems + AI agents to fix them, and you only get paid if the business actually grows (he even uses the $30K to $150K/month example to make it real).

The goal was to make a brand-new idea feel instantly legit, then push viewers to the next step with the “get trained + placed” CTA and booking link.

We backed the story with high-end motion graphics, big on-screen headlines, clean callouts, and a fast pace that keeps attention through the timestamps. Early results were solid for a fresh upload, and more importantly it works as a funnel asset: clear positioning, clear proof, and a clear action.

//The Solution

The Shopify AI Case Study

This video was made to grab attention fast and position Dom as the guy who sees the shift early.

The topic is Shopify’s big AI update, but the real goal is bigger: create urgency (you’ve got 12 months), show the proof, then flip it into an opportunity and push people to the next step (training + placement).

On the editing side, it was treated it like a mini doc, not a boring news recap: high-level motion graphics, big on-screen hooks, clean callouts, and fast pacing so viewers don’t drop when the “features” start.

The copy is built like problem → stakes → solution → CTA, which is why it works as an authority piece for founders, creators, athletes, operators, and niche experts who don’t want fluff, they want what matters and what to do next.

Early results right after upload, and it’s set up as a funnel asset that keeps paying off over time.

2.7K Views From a Vlog Format (With Clean, Fast Editing)

This video is a vlog-style experiment where Dom tests two AI note-taking apps (Fabric vs Voicenotes) and picks a winner after using both for a few weeks.

The goal was to create a trust piece that still performs: something that feels real and watchable, but also quietly supports the channel’s funnel by making Dom look sharp, consistent, and worth following.

Editing is what makes it work, not heavy graphics: strong cold open, tight jump cuts to remove dead time, clean screen recordings, and light motion graphics only when needed (titles, phases, scoring) so it stays simple but still premium.

Results: 2,718 views and 37 likes, plus comments calling out the “big YouTuber” feel, which is exactly the kind of credibility your audience needs before they click anything else.

Turning Automation Nerd Stuff Into Content

This video is a hybrid: part build-in-public vlog (workout, day-in-the-life, community updates), part practical test on whether you can generate real n8n automations with just a promp” and if it’s actually worth it.

The goal was not flashy visuals, it was watchability + trust: make a technical topic feel easy to follow, keep the pace moving, and then land the channel’s bigger positioning through the daily recap format (feedback → numbers → strategy).

Editing-wise we kept motion graphics light, but intentional: quick chapter beats, clean on-screen labels, tight jump cuts, and screen recordings placed exactly where the viewer would normally get lost.

Copy/structure is built around skepticism (sounds cool… but does it work?), real testing (cost + speed + quality), then a clean wrap that reinforces consistency and community.

It functions as a solid mid-funnel piece that shows the operator mindset, not just tool hype.

Final words

Producer-Led Motion System That Makes a Small Channel Look Big

This project was basically building Dom’s content engine, not just “editing a few videos.”

It is a craft sample from our lead editor’s work with Dom before Northstar Media existed and it’s included to show the exact caliber our lead editors ship today.

The channel + funnel were already clear (YouTube → trust → waitlist), so the job was execution: sharpen the hooks, tighten the copy flow, cut dead time hard, and use motion only where it improves clarity (chapters, labels, screen moments, pattern breaks).

Across the set, the output hit 5,700+ views, around ~50% estimated attention, and 60+ hours saved, and also quality feedback like “Clean edits, great pacing… everything felt intentional” and “I thought I was watching a big YouTuber,” which is the exact credibility signal you want when you’re selling a new category and asking people to take the next step.
